Dear She She Me,
You're no doubt packing for one of your summer excursions and staring blankly into your closet wondering a) "Is red, white and blue really a fashion don't?"; b) "Are denim dresses a thing of the past?; c) Will someone notice if I wear the same thing all week?; d) "Is black too Goth for the beach?"; and e) Where are all of Shop Girl's clothes?" I know you so well. The answers are yes, yes, yes, yes, and safely in my closet.

As you're pondering your summer getaway wardrobe (or summer wardrobe in general), keep in mind that carefree, feminine and Boho-luxe is the looks of the season. Summer fashion is full of vibrant colors, bold (yet feminine) prints and a mix of fabrics. Think Sienna Miller (my current fave) rather than channeling a groupie on tour. I can sense the confusion spreading across your face at such an analogy, so I've detailed a little pack list for you.

A Fail-safe Guide to a Summer Wardrobe (at least in my opinion):

• A colorful dress that can work both day and night is a must.
• An all-white ensemble is super-chic and a summer staple. Now she she me, I know your love for white attire, and I also know your record for disaster while in much-loved white attire, so I'm begging you to use caution. If you can swing it, you'll be the picture of summer in this Theory skirt.
• A feminine shirt. This Tracy Reese confection just about guarantees outfit compliments from others.
• You'll need something for those moments that call for a more subdued, serious look. I'm in love with Banana Republic's short-sleeved jacket. Pair it with crisp trousers and you're ready to go.
• Not quite short enough to be Bermudas yet not long enough to be pants, these flared cropped pants by DVF are super-chic for daywear.
• Tanks, and lots of them. Layer them over each other and then add a bold necklace as a statement piece.
• Polos. It's okay to embrace your inner prep, but balance the look with a full skirt and hip flats.
• Accessorize with a well-placed belt. (FYI - It will make you look slimmer.)

Shelve your denim (unless it's white, of course) for now in favor of lightweight trousers. When in doubt, wear a pair of wedges and don't forget a chic hat and your dark shades.
