Chic or Beat?

It's hard to believe that the holidays are over and a new (fashion) year has begun. Spring fashions are already on some boutique racks and new trends will soon be making their way into closets everywhere. But since its still way too early to slip into this spring's ultra-feminine collections I thought I would give you a 'preview' to help chase away the winter blues. With our 'chic or beat' list, you can plan your spring wardrobe (accessories and all) within the warmth of your own cubicle. Be sure to print out a copy to take along while shopping. Oh, and good news... it looks like we chi chi girls are in luck, 'tis the season to be a girly-girl!

Chic

Beat
Femininity everywhere

Anything tailored or masculine

Form fitting, micro-minis. (Yes it's true, they're back!)

Flowing, full-length skirts
Shoes embellished with stripes, applique' flowers, cutouts and bows in brillant colors of turquoise, orange, yellow and red and metallics.
Boring black run-of-the-mill pumps. (Try a pair of spectators, instead.)
Vibrant rainbows of color from top to bottom.

Somber black; drab neutrals
Anything Asian-inspired. (Kimonos over jeans is very hip!)
Bo-ho chic
Modern glamour
Attitude
Urban sporty dressing

Oversized cotton yoga duds
Sexy, cropped cargo pants
Wide-leg, "mannish" slacks
Ruby red pedi's
Goth tones
Wild patterns. (From geometric to floral, anything goes.)
Solids
Large, printed totes that are reminiscent of an uber-chic Italian getaway. (I just love Pucci's).
Monochromatic bags or anything really!

Isn't is exciting? All the color, all the prints? And think, this is only a preview. Just think how happy we'll be when spring actually arrives. Hopefully, all this talk of festive femininity will help you keep the 'post-holiday, back-to-work' blues at bay.

Cheers,
