Handbag Trends and Great Beauty Buys I am so so so excited! My birthday gift from Hubby is currently circling around in a truck, just waiting to be delivered to my door. I have checked the package delivery update every 20 minutes since I woke up this morning. I’m tired of reading the “on truck for delivery” notice. I’ll tell you what it is. It’s a brand new Matt & Nat tote! I’m not even going to wait until my birthday to break it in, I’m just so excited. I completely heart Matt & Nat. Naturally, this soon-to-arrive gift has inspired me to research Spring 2010’s handbag trends (you like how that rhymed?). Here are the highlights: Oversized: I love oversized bags. Love them. Especially when they have funky textures and cool embellishments. Glad they’re back this season, because admittedly I have quite a few in my closet Hubby’s expecting me to “get a lot—and I mean a Embellished: From pretty floral treatments to bejeweled studs and even funky chain, the cool adornments are big this spring. I've got my eye on the New Garbo Tote from Be & D. This handbag is equal parts classic and rock, with studded embellishment, whipstitch detail and crisp logo plate. In a word: gorgeous! And it's just the thing for spring, especially with a ladylike dress and a pair of haute heels! Jewel Tones: Good news! All those fab brightly-colored bags you purchased (or coveted) last year are back in full swing. Break out those amethyst, ruby, emerald and sapphire babies because you are definitely going to be able to get your money's worth out of them this spring! Which is excellent news, because it gives me a little more leeway in my budget for the reapportioning of funds to wickedly wonderful wedges and fabulous flats! Classic: You can never go wrong with classic styling and exquisite detail! These timeless handbags will still be in style five, ten or twenty years from now! A quintessential handbag is an investment, so don't stint here girls! On the beauty front, I wanted to point out a few great products I’ve recently discovered. So let’s get to it, shall we? Delish: Scent is one of the strongest senses we have, which is why we all love great smelling lotions and potions.
