Top 10 Reds
Once a year, all that is pink seems to turn red.
From your nails to your shoes, this Holiday hue seems to be everywhere.
And thankfully so, as nothing sparks up a girl's look like a splash
of red. For those of you who haven't worn Revlon's Rich Girl Red
year-round and want to join the frenzy, here's a short cut to the
hot list of which red will wow.
1) Top
Red Nail Polish for Fingers and Toes: Essie
Jelly Apple with two coats. Other top contenders include Revlon
Red and OPI's
Big Apple Red.
2) Top Red Lipstick. There really
are so many from which to choose. Actually, Shop Girl and she she
me have been carefully analyzing the marketplace on the matter since
Halloween and have come up with the following fave list:
- Bobbi
Brown - Scarlet (for a blue-tone red) and Burnt Red (for a
more orange-ish tint)
- Lola
Cosmetics Creme Lipstick in Pandora is so 1950"s screen
siren. And if that isn't reason enough to add it to your
collection, you simply will adore the chic red tube.
- Tarte's
Lipstick in Chianti. A true red that looks great on all skin
types.
3) Top
Red Super Moist, you-must-kiss-me-now Lip Gloss. MAC's
lip glass cannot be beat. Get thee to your local department
store and try on V Red, Relay Race and Succulent.
Delux
Beauty's Lip Gloss in Gus is a close second. The deep red shine
is perfect for day, and the wand applicator makes quick, rearview
mirror touch-ups a cinch.
4) Top Red Sheer Lip Balm for Everyday
or on the Slopes. Kiehl's
SPF lip balm in hue #58B is a must-have for any "I want
to look natural" type of girl.
5) Top Red Panty. Shopgirl remains
a loyal eberjey
fan. Comfortable and saucy!
6) Top Red PJ. We love the PJs
from Bedhead. Made of the softest, yummiest Egyptian cotton, these
are the only PJs suitable for a she she girl on her odd night 'in'.
The red
dots will give you your token red, but we must draw your attention
to the green
stripe, the pink
seersucker and the Lavender
Polka Dot.
7) Top Red Flat. Nine
West Lily shoe. We love the Jackie O' ness of the square toe.
The perfect addition to your jeans or micro mini. (A very close
second is Marc
Jacobs red velvet flat.)
8) Top Red Party Shoe. As far
as bang for the buck, you can't go wrong with Isaac's red
party pumps. They're sure to make any black dress a stunner.
9) Top Red Cocktail Clutch.
Actually, this year's red clutch is green.
Can you imagine anything more fabulous?
10) Top Red Cocktail. The
Poinsettia, a festive alternative to a Mimosa. Your guests will
love this fresh toddi.
And there you
have it. Now, go paint the town (and your nails and lips) in the
color of the season. We'll see you back in the pink come January.

Soho Shoes
Saturday Shoe Shopping just got a little brighter as Raleigh girls
can forget about ever leaving town to findgreat shoes. With the opening
of Soho Shoes at Crabtree Valley
Mall, sleek shoes and stylish accessories are only a short car ride
away. The' newest store is urban in feel, with its white-hot interior

Soho Shoes boasts styles from
Marc Jacobs, the much publicized Hollywould, Pucci,
Irregular
Choice London (an up andcoming fave), Camper, UGG,
Jeffery Campbell, Charles David and Calvin Klein and
handbags from Un Apres Midi de Chien and Love
Cat Paris. Their list sort of reads like a who's who of the
fashion elite. It's enough to drive one into a card-maxing frenzy.
Whether you're
still looking for that last minute cocktail shoe or ready to get
a jump start on spring styles (am dying for the Marc Jacobs silver
flats with rhinestone detail pictured above), Soho
Shoes will have exactly what you want. You'll find unique
handbags, gifts for friends (who wouldn't want a yummy Tocca
Candle?), and even fashion forward shoes for the sneaker-clad
man in your life. And this spring, Soho
Shoes is adding clothing to their repertoire. I'm willing
to bet that like their selection of shoes, their apparel will be
some of the most stylish in the area.
Soho
